Anthony Andersen

Anthony Andersen is serving his third term on the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education. He has more than 30 years experience in the insurance industry and currently serves as a senior Vice President at a large national insurance company. Anthony earned his certificate in dispute resolution from DePaul University, Chicago, IL, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Iona College, New Rochelle, NY. He is a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, Bronx, NY. Anthony resides in Central Valley with his wife and two children, both who attend M-W schools. He has lived in Central Valley for 20 years and attends Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Michael Ciriello

Michael Ciriello is serving his second term on the Board of Education. He will serve as President of the Board for the 2023-2024 school year. Previously, he served as President of the Board for the 2022-2023 school year and Vice President in 2021-2022.  He has worked in the financial services industry for over 34 years.  Michael is an experienced leader and business strategist who holds a BBA in business administration and an Executive MBA from St. Joseph’s College.  He has resided in Central Valley with his wife Susan and two children for over the past 10 years.

Suzanne Donahue

Suzanne Donahue is serving her fourth term on the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education. She is a retired New York City High School math teacher. During her teaching years, she served in various leadership roles including testing coordinator, program chair, and executive board member of the school’s United Federation of Teachers chapter and taught at the Walton Campus Young Adult Borough Center Program as well as a TOC GRE Prep class on Saturdays, working with teaching interns and the Summer Bridge Program for the Lehman College Research Foundation’s TRiOS program. She is still serving as scheduling consultant at the Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music. Donahue earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in mathematics education, both from Lehman College, Bronx, NY. Donahue is a widow with two grown children and six grandsons, two of whom graduated from M-W High School. She has a 9-year-old grandson who is attending CV Elementary School and will be in the 4th grade in the fall. She lives in Highland Mills.

Jamell Evans

Jamell Evans is serving his first term on the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education. He will serve as Vice President of the Board for the 2023-2024 school year, after serving in the same position in 2022-2023. In addition to moving to the area in 1991 and being a past graduate of M-W in 1999, he later moved back to Harriman with the goal of buying his childhood home and providing his family with a school district that he trusted. Along with being an M-W alumni, he’s also received his bachelor’s in Computer Art from SUNY College at Oneonta, and graduated with distinction for his masters in Communication Arts from the New York Institute of Technology. Having worked for EPAM Systems for the last 11 years, his current position is working as an Experience Director as well as the Head of UX for New York. He has two children who will be attending Pine Tree during the 2023-2024 school year.

Norise Robinson

Norise Robinson is serving her first term on the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education. Norise moved to Monroe with her husband in 2006 and now has 2 young boys in the school district. Norise achieved her Bachelors in Sociology and Psychology from New York University and continued her education in Physiology at New York Medical College. After achieving her Masters in Science and conducting research for 5 years on Group B Strep, she found there to be a lack of qualified science educators in her local school district in NYC. She went on to achieve her Masters in Science Education and began teaching middle school science in the Bronx, where she has remained a middle school educator for 12 years. She is excited to begin her work on the school board and not only learn about the education system from a different perspective, but use her knowledge as an educator to help serve the Monroe-Woodbury School District.

Sergey Koyfman

Dr. Sergey Koyfman is serving his second term on the Board of Education. Dr. Koyfman practices Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery with ENT and Allergy Associates. He serves at Orange Regional Medical Center as Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology as well as Medical Director of Head and Neck Oncology, and is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Koyfman and his wife have two sons, one who graduated from M-W high school, and the other who is a member of the Class of 2024.

Staci McCleary

Staci McCleary is serving her third term as a member of the Board of Education. Mrs. McCleary served as President of the Board for the 2021-2022 school year, after previously serving as President in 2020-2021. She and her family have lived in Monroe since 2006 and moved here because of the school district's great reputation. Mrs. McCleary earned a bachelor's degree in education from Manhattan College, Bronx, NY, and a master's degree in school counseling from St. John's University, Queens, NY. She worked for the NYC Board of Education as an elementary school counselor. Mrs. McCleary and her husband have four children: a son at the University of Rhode Island, a daughter at Hartwick College, a daughter at LIM College, and a daughter currently at Monroe-Woodbury High School.

Jeff Reynolds

Jeff Reynolds is serving his first term as a member of the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education. He has served at the United States Military Academy, West Point for more than 20 years in multiple positions and currently serves as the 31st Chief of Protocol and as a Designated Federal Officer for the Academy. In the private sector Jeff provides Strategic Communications and VIP consulting work with dozens of professional sport teams and leagues. Reynolds earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary College and received his Master of Science degree in School Counseling from Long Island University. Jeff and Michelle have lived in Monroe/ Highland Mills for over 12 years and have 5 children in the Monroe-Woodbury School district whom attend the MW Middle School & the MW High school. 

Dawn Tauber

Dawn is serving her second term as a member of the Board of Education. Dawn has lived in the Monroe-Woodbury community for more than 17 years with her husband, Alan, son, Jaden, a 2021 Monroe-Woodbury graduate attending Cornell University, and daughter, Kayla, a recent Monroe-Woodbury High School graduate who will be attending SUNY Stony Brook.

Each year, the Board of Education selects a student to serve as an ex officio, non-voting member, in accordance with the provisions of Section 1702 of the Education Law, as approved by public vote in May 2016. The student member of the Board of Education serves as the voice of the students by providing brief reports sharing issues of importance to the student body.
